Interactive Designer · Microsoft account
Owned the Microsoft Dynamics creative platform at Metia — extending the Windows brand into a multi-channel system for video, web, and presentations. Coded the Microsoft Design portal (used as a recruitment surface 2011–2015) and shipped a Microsoft Case Studies app for Windows Phone 7.5.
Microsoft Dynamics creative platform
- Owned the creative platform for Microsoft Dynamics — a multi-channel design system that extended the Windows brand into video, web, and executive presentations.
- Established the patterns, motion language, and asset library that downstream campaigns built on, replacing a fragmented set of partner-specific decks and microsites.
Microsoft Case Studies (Windows Phone 7.5)
- Designed and built the Microsoft Case Studies app for Windows Phone 7.5 — a sales-enablement surface that put Microsoft's customer-success stories into the hands of field sellers and partner-channel reps.
- Followed the Metro design language to its specs while solving the bandwidth-aware content delivery problem for sellers in low-connectivity environments.
Microsoft Design portal
- Coded the Microsoft Design portal — the public-facing site used as a designer-recruitment surface from 2011 to 2015. The portal showcased Microsoft Design's process, principles, and people across product groups (Windows, Office, Xbox, Bing).
- Worked the seam between visual design, copy, and front-end — the role that today would be called a UX engineer.
Range across the account
Beyond the Dynamics platform and the two flagship surfaces above, the Metia account spanned shorter-cycle work across Microsoft properties — Office Labs concept videos, the "Network Villains" IT-pro campaign, Artist Mouse promotional materials, and a steady cadence of partner-facing microsites, video treatments, and executive decks. The range built the muscle I'd later use at Amazon and Microsoft Education for moving between visual design, motion, and production code without losing momentum.
Microsoft account work
Metia was Microsoft's go-to creative agency for partner-facing surfaces during the Windows Phone 7 / Windows 8 era. I joined as an interactive designer with a coding stake, taking ownership of brand-system extensions for Dynamics and shipping production code for sites and apps across the account.
